In adequate funding was one of the main factors that had negatively affected the development of adult education in Zambia. It is recommended that if adult education is to have an appreciable positive impact on society, government must come up with a clear policy on adult education and literacy and increase funding to it. The government is also urged to understand that adult education and training is shaped by complex economic political and social imperatives.
