Description
Historically, the University of Zambia Extension Education was established to help the less privileged members of the communities who did not have the chance to obtain higher education and necessary skills to function in their environment. It was perceived that through Extension Education, the University of Zambia would reach the masses in their locality and empower them with skills necessary for them to live effectively and efficiently (Alexander, 1975). It is the interest of chapter to explore whether it is a fallacy or reality that University extension education programmes are based on the felt needs of the society.
