dc.description.abstractThis work contains five chapters. The first chapter will discusses the historical development of the freedoms of expression, speech and the press. The second chapter is a critical analysis of the above mentioned freedoms as provided in the Zambian constitution, 1996. The third chapter discusses the freedoms of expression, speech and the press in the light of political interference and their impact on democracy. The fourth chapter looks at how freedoms of information would enhance the freedom of expression, speech and the press. The last chapter (chapter five) will contain conclusions and recommendations.en_US
