The fact that there has been a spite of defilement incidences across the length and breath of Zambia is incontrovertible. Thus, the law has been amended to deal with this ugly vice. The girl child in Zambia is no longer safe when left alone with any male person. After the amendment of the law the boy child has been encompassed under the legal definition of defilement. But despite the law on defilement being stiffened the the country has continued to witness an increase in cases of defilement. The question is whether the law is adequate to end the scourge?en_US
