dc.description.abstractThis paper is on town planning laws in Zambia. It examines the legal regime responsible for Town Planning, which is the Town and Country Planning Act Chapter 283 of the Laws of Zambia. The paper stresses the importance of the need to reform the Act in order to make it more responsive to the challenges of urbanization, population change, economic growth, social change and political developments to ensure orderly, co-ordinated and efficient development of cities and towns.en_US
